The Richmond Scene

Luke Saunders
A Young Song Writer

This native Richmond musician may be new to the scene but not to the song writing craft. His songs consist of thoughtful musical arrangements paired with clever lyrics about life lessons, love and heart-break and spiritual struggle.

Luke made his debut at the Listening Room in December, where he softly wooed the audience with his own brand of Americana and friendly personality. One song in particular, Smoke from the City, caught my attention. This narrative takes you through the cycle of love and relationship. It was poetic, stirring and entertaining.

Luke's debut EP, "Green to Golden Brown," is set to be released this spring on Church Hill Records.

It was recorded with Lance Koehler at Minimum Wage Recording in Oregon Hill.

There is a rumor however, that some pre-release copies will be available at his shows.

Luke will be playing TONIGHT, February 8th at The Camel.
